DCWarehouse New Release Is Available to All DCWarehouse Customers!
This latest release is jam packed with new features for our valuable distribution and manufacturing customers. Here is a brief listing:
DCWarehouse Sales Order Entry Warning to Prevent Multiple Shipment Methods
This nice tool is helpful in the following case. Let’s say your sales-team is entering an order and does not complete it for some reason. If they go back to the order and add additional lines while trying to put another shipment method on those lines, a warning will pop up. This will allow them the option to select the same shipment method for the entire order. This helps in consolidating the order onto one shipment and avoiding confusion to your customers.
Default Delivery Confirmation by Ship Method
Within DCWarehouse, changes have been made to the Set Up Carriers Screen to allow the defaulting of delivery confirmation by ship method on the ship methods tab instead of at the header level.
Manage Pick Locks – Pick In – Progress Locks
We have made it much easier for your team members with the appropriate security to manage pick locks on the front end without having to go behind the scenes and use a SQL .
For example, a pick list is created and then a user goes to pick the pick list from the wireless device. It cannot be seen. The user then tries to cancel the pick list using the Cancel Pick List task. It also can not be seen in there. This is due to the fact that a picking flag was not set properly when the pick list was created. In prior versions the user would have to go into SQL to resolve this issue. We have added a feature that allows you to easily update the picking flag from the front end. Full security and analysis screens track these activities to the date, time and user.
Dimensional Weight Functionality
Within DCWarehouse functionality has been added into Warehouse Package Manager to support Dimensional Weight being calculated for both UPS® and FedEx® shipping methods. This is huge for Amazon® Shipments and other shipments. Dimensional weight reflects box density, which is the amount of space a package uses in relation to its actual weight.
Many more important features have been added in this last release. All customers current on their maintenance plan can implement this new release.
