As mentioned before, a Global Economy has and always will be essential. By all means, there are certain products that I buy from other countries. Let’s just say I have a taste for German Chocolate, Italians make super cool shoes etc. But I still try my very best to support the USA and make an extra effort to allow my spending dollars to stay here.
According the the Oxford English Dictionary, a blockchain is a “system in which a record of transactions made in bitcoin or another crypto-currency are maintained across several computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network”. Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp, and transaction data (generally represented as a Merkle tree).
It seems like Blockchain is all the rage. In my humble opinion it may be right for some companies but not all. Let’s talk about something that’s been around for a long time and is still extremely necessary for suppliers, distribution and manufacturing companies; Data Integration. There are many reasons for integrations. Let’s take brief look into this.

After an emotionally exhausting day in the pleasurable world of being a boss I almost canceled a weekly meeting at the Chess Club with my dearest friend. My head was splitting with the worst sinus headache; I had a day that I’d prefer to forget and was not in the mood to extend the day. My intuition told me to just go. When I checked in my friend was not there yet. An absolutely beautiful little boy asked in the sweetest tone “Do you want to play a game with me?” I could not resist his enthusiasm so I said, “I bet you’re gonna’ whip me but sure.”
As a business person it is always important to have some outside hobbies to keep life real and interesting. Several years ago, my close friend, her husband, and I decided to have a weekly event together. We thought about yoga, wine-tasting, cooking and even language classes. At some point, I don’t recall how, we ended up taking chess classes at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis. The “Chess Club” as we call it in Saint Louis is one of the finest in the nation! It is located in the Central West End and the environment is absolutely beautiful.
I am so happy we decided to do this. The very best part of chess is the fact it allows me to forget about business for a while. It truly is fun to see people of all ages, religious and ethnic backgrounds come together to play this intriguing game. Despite anything you might of heard, Saint Louis is an awesome city, you should come check (no pun intended) it out!
In the 80’s during my teen years I probably kept a fashion store in business with all my purchases. This included a variety of leggings (I so loved those leggings), tunic tops with huge shoulder pads, tube tops and parachute pants. When I moved out on my own and lived in various small apartments, I learned early on to clear the clutter. Even to this day (Post Covid and Supply Chain Era), I believe less material things are healthier in general. It’s easier to clean, find things and you only need a minimum of storage. So I trained myself to give away my belongings to friends and charity when I purchased new belongings.
Mentally this is hard at times. Case in point, in the past few years leggings came back into style. Since I always loved leggings, I’ll have to admit, I purchased a few pairs.
