A huge thank you to our Vendors, Team Members, Partners and Sponsors for our first ever Customer Summit in Estes Park, Colorado! Everyone seemed to enjoy the YMCA of the Rockies! Not only did we see deer and other wildlife blended into an ideal location, the staff really knows how to accommodate group events and the relaxed atmosphere was a welcome change to stuffy over-priced hotels elsewhere. We were delighted that many of our clients and vendors brought their significant others to take advantage of this gorgeous location and make a mini-vacation of it. Of course there was excitement as several of us witnessed an amazing Elk Rut from a relatively safe distance. Trust us, we did not stick around to figure out the winner but certainly know that both of those guys meant business.
DCSC Team Shout Out
A special thank you to our Sales and Marketing Specialist who worked countless hours behind the scenes preparing our super cool customer gifts, ironing out details and making the event possible. Another acknowledgement goes to Julie Kaul, our Software Project Manager whose DCWarehouse Latest Features & Helpful Hints and Tricks Session received an amazing amount of feedback from our clients. She demonstrated our latest Software Release and delved into several hints and tricks that benefit our customers in inquiries, trouble-shooting, shipments and time-savings.
Guest Speakers – Let’s Make Some Noise
Andy Doll, Account Executive and Bar-coding Expert at Abetech not only helped us set up the conference room but showed off some sweet new wireless equipment that is compatible with our DCWarehouse Software. Martin Truitt, Channel Manager Compatible Solutions at FedEx introduced many services their company offers to help distributors and manufacturers in his How to Navigate and Leverage Changes in the Supply Chain Session. FedEx is doing a fine job keeping up with eCommerce Revolution that has transformed the way buyers behave in our Digital Economy. Rocco Corage, Vice President of Operations & Integrations of MindCore Technologies gave all of us true insight on many technology concerns operations face today and strategic solutions in his The Benefits of Hosted Technology Verses On Premise Session. We already value our relationship with this fine team but this video is worth watching! Learn about the magnificent culture of this Boutique Technology Firm that helps customers succeed each day.
Last but Not Least
Our customers are awesome! In my Technology and People, What is the Right Combo? session, I explained the true value of people and we are so happy to have clients we consider good friends! Redundant manual processes cost distributors and manufacturers money and time. Multiple data entry points also cause many operational issues. So there is a true value and ROI on automation where it makes sense. However, you need humans to take leadership, create business relationships, help produce, resolve problems and most importantly to encourage one another.
Wrapping this up, we thoroughly enjoyed our first annual Customer Event and appreciated all who participated!
